Bubble

Air bubbles are beautiful and fragile. They are like little children, mischievous and cute. Everyone probably has some happy memories of bubbles. I want to keep the beauty of that moment alive.

This installation is made mainly of epoxy resin with balloons. The light forms various patterns of shadows on different surfaces by changing the distance between the resin sheets and the wall, which simulates bubbles falling.

Happiness cannot be completely controlled, just like the nature of this material. Even though I control the appearance, the color, shapes and texture evolve during the drying process. Even after installation on the wall, the resin sheet can bend inward or outward by gravity which alters the shape of the shadow.
